Privacy Policy — Zerohour

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Zerohour ("we", "us", "our") is a Shopify application built by Metigro that lets a merchant turn a product into a time-limited drop: hidden until a scheduled moment, with a live "X of Y claimed" counter. This policy explains what data the app accesses, what it stores, and for how long.

This app is installed and configured entirely by the Merchant. Buyers interact only with a storefront widget (countdown timer and claimed counter) — they do not log in, create an account, or submit any information to Zerohour.

Information we collect

Store data (from Shopify). Using the access scopes granted at install (read_products, write_products, read_orders, read_inventory), the app reads and writes product/variant visibility for the products the Merchant schedules as drops, and reads live inventory levels for those products.

Order identifiers (not customer data). To keep the "claimed" counter accurate, the app reads the Shopify order ID, line item ID, and quantity from the orders/create webhook for orders that include a product currently running as a drop. We do not read or store the buyer's name, email, address, phone number, or any other personal field from the order — only the numeric identifiers and quantity needed to count units against the drop.

Merchant account data. Store domain, store name, country, currency, and the name/email of the person who installed the app (standard Shopify OAuth account info), so we know who to authenticate and bill.

Automatically collected data. Standard web server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or store a buyer's name, email address, phone number, shipping/billing address, or payment information. The app has no login, no account creation, and no form for buyers to submit data — the storefront widget only displays a countdown and a claimed-count that it reads from our servers, it does not collect anything from the visitor.

How we use information

We do not sell, rent, or use this data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties beyond Shopify itself (the platform, authentication, and billing provider).

Data retention

Drop records (product, schedule, counters) and order-claim identifiers are kept while the app is installed, so the Merchant can see the history of past drops. When the Merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify's mandatory shop/redact webhook (sent roughly 48 hours after uninstall) triggers deletion of all drop records and order-claim identifiers for that store, and the installer's name and email are removed from our session records.

Data security

Your rights / GDPR compliance

We implement Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks. shop/redact deletes the store's drop and order-claim records, and the installer's PII, as described above. customers/data_request and customers/redact return an acknowledgement with no records, since Zerohour does not store any buyer-identifying data — the order identifiers we keep are not personal data on their own and are not linked to a buyer's name, email, or contact details anywhere in our system.

Merchants can uninstall the app at any time from the Shopify admin. Metigro acts as a data processor on behalf of the Merchant (the data controller) for any personal data configured in or processed by the app.

Children's privacy

This app is a business tool for Shopify merchants and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect data from, individuals under 16.
